Blue sea and sky ay is a small family business that has been offering cruises in Kalajoki area since 2010. We offer charter cruises to the rock of Kalla daily from June all the way to late autumn as long as the weather permits.
Cruise to the rock of Kalla
This cruise takes you to beautiful and unique archipelago of the Baltic Sea. We will start off from the central dock area in Kalajoki (Konikarvontie 221) and head to the rock of Kalla, approx. 18 kilometers from the main land. Duration of the trip is about four hours, of which we will spend 1,5 hours in Maakalla.
In Kalla you can get to know the island with its unique old fishermen’s culture and its beautiful archipelago nature. The small island has tiny fishermen’s cabins and a wooden church from the 18th century.
We sail with two ships, smaller Kiira (since 2010) and Bon Marin (since 2025) with 137 customer seats.
What´s included?
The price includes a cruise trip to the rock of Kalla. We do not offer a guided tour in Kalla but we are happy to help you with any questions you have along the way. Food and beverages are not included. You can buy snacks and beverages during the trip. On most days you can buy smoked whitefish prepared in the island on board.
How to prepare for the cruise?
Dress in layers and bring some warm clothes with you. Safety vests are offered in the ship. There´s no running water on the island, toilets can be found from our ships.

Reservation and cancellation policy
Blue sea and sky Oy reserves full rights to make changes to the program. A cruise might be cancelled due to bad weather conditions or in case there is less than minimum amount of participants. We will inform clients about cancellations minimum three hours before the starting time of the cruise. In case already paid, we will return the creuise fee to your bank account within three weeks of cancellation day. In case of delay be in contact with us: maakallaan@gmail.com
